Why Choose Dog Training + Academy?
1. To complete a comprehensive course and have the knowledge and skills to work competently in the field.
A good trainer needs to have an understanding of dog behavior, how training works, including covering both operant conditioning and classical conditioning (not just focusing on one of these concepts).
2. To learn how to train dogs with all types of behaviors.
Most other courses leave out information on how to train dogs with separation anxiety, and/or some other behaviors as well.
3. To learn to train dogs humanely.
There are too many programs and people who abuse dogs in the name of training - having no care for dogs’ welfare. This type of behavior is going to be criminalized in the future as animal cruelty (it already is in some places, as it should be). In contrast, Dog Training + Academy includes a section on dog welfare.
4. Learn how training applies to all interactions with dogs.
Dogs are always learning whether we are specifically training them or not. When you truly understand animal behavior and training, you can implement it to help shelter and rescue dogs, dogs at veterinary hospitals, and in all other settings and fields such as search and rescue, etc.
5. Receive advice training your own dogs.
Also, you can receive help with your dog’s behavior while in the course - unlike other programs that don’t teach you enough to know how to train your own dogs, or try to charge you additional fees. We’re here to help!
We understand our course is an investment, but we’re confident you can use the CBTW-certificate you will earn in Dog Training + Academy to make a substantial profit.
“I have been around dog trainers a long time, and could not recommend Dan Raymer more highly. He is a superb technician, with a stellar grasp of the intricacies of assessment, behavior and procedures and how they fit into the big picture of helping clients live successfully with their dogs.
On par with all of this is his ethical compass. Dog training is still unregulated and there are pockets without qualified trainers. Not so in North Carolina, whose dogs and their guardians are in the best possible hands.”
- Jean Donaldson, Professional Dog Trainer
